Pearls are the ultimate symbol for wisdom. Valued for their calming effects, pearls represent serenity, while being able to strengthen valuable relationships and convey a sense of safety. Pearls also symbolize purity, as well as integrity and loyalty.
Pearls arrive into our hands in the same style in which they are born. They are formed when mollusks sense an irritant and throw up pearly layers as a way of protecting themselves. These layers build and build over time (every grain of sand can be seen as an irritant to a mollusk) until eventually you are left with this concentric build-up of energy and protection. These pearls are gathered, they aren’t cut or shaped or fussed with in any fake way. They are created from living creatures and they carry that sentience and that sublime meaning with them. Pearls are a constant reminder that we have the powers of protection stashed within us and that we also have the knowledge we need to keep ourselves balanced and safe. Just like the mollusk, we have intuitive wisdom, and this can lead to the wonderful creation of things... Mother Nature's Gem, as we call them around here ✨
